This Sunday we will be starting Sunday morning Doubles. Randy has stepped up and will be running the show. We will also be starting a trial run of tags this winter and Randy will have tags for the upcoming season. We hope to see a few people out this Sunday to get this going! Start time for doubles is 10am!! Tag round to follow. Cheers, Chief

The weather started out crappy but stopped raining as we started. Windy and overcast! 4 players were in for the draw. Nick and Andy vs Randy and Chief. In the front nine, a battle of back and forth duece ended on hole #7 as Nick/Andy stole a hole. Front 9 scores were Nick/Andy 22, Randy/Chief 23. On the back nine, Nick started hole #10 with a sky drive on the right and screamed in from above to park it in the mud to 3' away. On #16, Nick/Andy took another stroke away from Randy/Chief then cruised to the finish with a 3 stroke win.
We had a tag round following doubles with Marc joining us to make 5 players.We played the round as a safari round of nine holes. Started on tee of hole #2 and played to the basket of #3 and so on thru to #18 tee to #1 basket. Marc took the #1 Square tag, Nick #2, Randy #3, Andy #4, Chief #5. See ya next week!

I was excited when you said that doubles would start at 12 because maybe I could make it. Seeing as I get home from work at 5AM from the night before, It would be difficult for me to be there.
I would like to purchase a tag though. Maybe I'll try and struggle a night of light sleep to show up this coming weekend.

It was a showdown with Nick Kight coming out with the no. 1 Tag
This past Sunday was our Third week hosting a League Tag Challenge Round. The conditions couldn't of been any better for the Carousel Discgraceland Layout. 8 Tag holders attended.
It was a battle all the way thru 18 holes of a demanding course.

Anson B. Nixon was the location for our biggest league turn-out to date. Playing a mixture of holes that would ultimately be considered a par of 56-57, we had a mixed bag of results.

For those who are concerned about the format for sunday league play, please feel free to share all with me. I have taken into consideration the fact that if you want to participate in both doubles and tags on sunday, it takes up a large portion of the day. As an avid Disc Golfer my sundays are dedicated to building this dream of a golf community. Iif you were wondering, I would much rather be on the course than the couch!
Remember this is the first year we as squares are running league play. I am certainly open to all ideas and doing whatever I can to meet the requests of all squares.

i didn't either pat...the rules are that you gotta accept a challenge on your tag and you can't go without playing an announced tag round for more than 2-3 weeks..i cannot remember exactly because josiah reminded me of my disc golf roots before we played the 6th hole last sunday....

You must attend 1 Tag event every four weeks. Pretty basic eh?

im just busting stone i havent missed a tags round since i bought mine but i have bumped back quite a few spots  ...hopefully i can make it up within the next round coming up but i have a lot of disc throwing this week so we shall see how my arm is! |
